Car flips in air at the park

PARENTS and children at Lake Ellen watched on in horror yesterday as a car flipped into the air and landed on its roof in a dramatic smash in George St.

The woman driver escaped the smash unscathed after her mother's white Kia Rio flip on to its roof.

Bystander Sean Udal said it was a "miracle" no one was injured, with children playing on the footpath near where the car crashed only minutes earlier.

"We heard the bang and then saw the car up in the air do a cartwheel," Mr Udal said.

"She crawled out instantly."

The matter is under police investigation.
