Calm restored ahead of finals

UNDER fire from clubs and officials last weekend, BRL president Mal Breen has assured all things were on track for some top-notch semi-finals at Salter Oval on Sunday.

Breen made no secret of the executive committee's anger at being harassed last weekend while attempting to reschedule games due to a forfeit.

Yesterday he said things had cooled down and all the parties were intent on making sure the league did the talking on Sunday. He dismissed speculation any members of the BRL board had resigned and would not comment further on the issue.

Isis and Brothers will be gunning for the last remaining semi-final spot at 3.30pm.

Isis League 11s will also be chasing a finals berth, taking on Across The Waves in what promises to be an end-to-end battle.
