Whale lovers to support research
WHALE lovers have been asked to support research group The Oceania Project by downloading educational short films from their website.
The project has been operated in Hervey Bay for more than 20 years by Trish and Wally Franklin.
Their long-term projects include a study of humpback whales and a photo-identification survey.
More than 1300 have participated in the internship programs that are run during the Hervey Bay whale watching season each year.
The movies, filmed by Mark Francis Franklin, feature whales and dolphins from Hervey Bay and other locations in Australia.
Visit www.oceania.org.au or www.iwhales.org to download the films for $2.99 each.
