Business phone a surprise

BUNDABERG mum Miriam Mastrone does not operate a business and nor does she need another mobile phone.

But this did not stop Telstra Business Centre from sending her a new phone this week.

Ms Mastrone said she was contacted last week by someone from Telstra Business Centre wanting to send her a mobile phone “completely free”.

But when she received the phone this week she found she was up for $19.54 a month over 24 months to pay for the phone and a $49 a month “business cap plan”.

Ms Mastrone plans to send the phone back to Telstra today.

Neither of the phone numbers listed on the official correspondence from Telstra Business Centre could be contacted yesterday.
