Burst water pipe

FIREFIGHTERS responded to a call for help after a car became bogged in a sink hole yesterday.

A spokesman for Queensland Fire and Rescue Service said the car became trapped at about 7am after a main burst on Telegraph Rd.

The sole occupant of the vehicle wasn't injured.

Bundaberg Regional Council's Dave Mason said the pipe burst after giving way at a weak point, creating a flow of water on to the road.

"Council crew fixed and repressurised the main and residents may experience some low pressure and dirty or milky water over the next few days," he said.
