BUNDABERG Police are investigating after a man received serious injuries at a Bundaberg house overnight.

Initial investigations indicate two men entered the Prospect Street house around 1.30am.

During a disturbance inside the home a man received injuries to his head and back.

The two intruders ran off and were last seen on Prospect Street running towards Sugden Street.

The man, a 20-year-old from Bundaberg South was taken to the Bundaberg Base Hospital with injuries to his head and back.

An 18-year-old woman at the home was not physically injured.

The first man is described as having a dark complexion, tall, of slim build with dark short hair.

The second man is described as Caucasian, short, of slim build with brown hair and was wearing a jacket.

Investigations are continuing.
