Burglar drives car at victim
A MAN travelled 13m on the bonnet of a car before falling onto the road following a confrontation with a burglar outside his home.
Bundaberg Criminal Investigation Branch Detective Senior Sergeant Joe Hildred said the Brighton Cl, Bundaberg North resident had disturbed a man near his shed early Friday morning.
Det Snr Sgt Hildred said when the homeowner questioned why the man was in his shed, the intruder claimed he was in the wrong place before he got into his car to drive off.
"The victim realised a generator was missing from his shed, so he stood in front of the vehicle to prevent the offender from leaving," he said.
Det Snr Sgt Hildred said the offender then accelerated towards the man, who jumped onto the car's bonnet to prevent being hit.
"The victim then hit the window and travelled for 13m on the vehicle before falling onto the road," he said.
The offender has been described as 35-38 years of age, athletic build with dark, curly hair and of Aboriginal descent.
Police investigations are continuing.
