BUNDY VOTES 2016: All the places to vote in Bundaberg
MORE than 29,000 Hinkler voters have headed to polling booths to cast their early vote but the Australian Electoral Commission is still expecting a massive turnout today.
Nationally, Fairfax-Ipsos poll figures suggest Labor is still within striking distance of victory, and a hung Parliament is a real risk.
Within Hinkler, the Coalition's Keith Pitt remains favourite according to Sportsbet at $1.08.
Seventy percent of the money is backing Mr Pitt to win Hinkler, with 25% of the money on Pauline Hanson's One Nation candidate Damian Huxham, who has shot up from $51 to $21 in the past week.
The remaining 5% is backing Labor's Tim Lawson who's odds have lengthened from $6 last week to $7.50 as of yesterday.
It's important to note that reforms to the way we will elect the new Senate will streamline the approach to preference selection this year.
In the past, preferences have been linked to the deals done through group voting tickets
It is the Senate voting (white ballot) that has changed.
You must either number at least six boxes above the line from 1 to 6 or at least 12 boxes below the line from 1 to 12.
You vote for candidates in the order you prefer and if your first choice has the least number of votes when tallied, he or she is eliminated from the running and your vote passes on to your second favourite, then your third choice and so on.
VOTING BOOTHS
Note to interstate voters: Absentee interstate votes must be made at 81 Barolin St. Votes for Hinkler, Flynn and other electorates within Queensland cannot be made there - but you can vote for other Queensland electorates at all other voting booths.
