Bundy school funding

PUBLIC Works Minister Robert Schwarten has announced five Wide Bay schools will receive a share of more than $100,000 in maintenance funding.

He said the funding would allow for a variety of maintenance works to be completed.

“This funding is great news for the students, parents and teachers from these schools,” he said.

“I understand this work is important to the entire school community and I am delighted to deliver this funding through the Department of Public Works' Special Building Needs program.”

The schools include Norville State School, Walkervale State Sch- ool, Thabeban State School, Bundaberg Nor- th State School and Bundaberg Special School.

Mr Schwarten said the work would be programmed for completion as soon as possible, with every effort being made to minimise disruption to classes. QBuild will manage the project.
