Bundaberg softball star set to wear the green and gold

WHEN Tyrell Priestley received a call last week from a selector of the Under-19 Australian softball team letting him know he was in the national team he didn't believe what he was hearing - neither did his parents.

But when the squad was posted online there was no doubt the talented infielder would be making his first overseas trip in June to Canada for the U19 World Championships.

Priestley didn't have to convince just himself that he would be wearing the green and gold of Australia in the biggest tournament of his life.
