Hopefuls ready for star contest

TWELVE acts will go head to head at the Moncrieff Theatre tonight, all vying to be named Bundaberg’s newest star.

The grand final of Bundy’s Search for a Star will see singers, songwriters and dancers jostle for prizemoney.

Three glee clubs will also put their talents on display.

“The calibre of talent this year is pretty high, actually,” organiser Brent Ephraims said.

The competition will be judged by former Bundaberg resident and Queensland Conservatorium of Music student Suellen Cusack, SeaFM’s Tommo, Bundaberg Players president Nigel Dick and special guest, Australia’s Got Talent illusionist Adam Murby.

Mr Murby will also perform as a part of the show.

The red carpet arrivals for Search for a Star start at 7pm before the show at 7.30pm.

Tickets are $14 and are available from the Moncrieff Theatre or at the door tonight.
