Quatro busks for good cause

AFTER wowing the crowds at Tamworth, string quartet sensation Quatro are wowing their own community with their efforts in fundraising for flood victims.

The girls, Amity Brand, 15, Vanessa Smith, 15, Radha Shukla, 15, and Claudia Vogel, 14, managed to raise a whopping $2000 by busking and passing round the hat at their Tamworth shows.

Amity’s mother, Wendy Brand, said the girls wanted the money to go straight back to the community.

“They were adamant that they wanted the money to stay in Bundaberg,” she said.

Quatro have decided to give $1000 to NAB Bundaberg’s flood relief effort and the other $1000 would go to the Bundaberg Chamber of Commerce.

St Luke’s will hold an official school assembly for the donation in the coming weeks.
