Bundaberg petrol prices to climb

MOTORISTS will be paying about a dollar a week more for petrol as prices are expected to climb from tomorrow.

Wessel Petroleum owner Paul Wessel said the increase was due to international pressures on the price of fuel.

"In the last couple of weeks the wholesale price has gone up 5cents/litre and that's putting pressure on retailers," he said.

Mr Wessel said retailers could absorb a price rise of one or two cents, but five cents was too much and some of it would have to be passed on to motorists.
