Free touch football clinics for kids
IN an exciting new initiative, Bundaberg Junior Touch Association (BJTA) coaches will conduct a series of free training and development clinics at Greg Duncan Fields next week.
The program will consist of basic and advanced skills, as well as a mini-tournament.
Different age groups will run on different days:
Monday – children born 2001, 2002, 2003 – boys 9-11am, girls 1-3pm. Tuesday – 1999, 2000 – boys 9am-12pm, girls 2-5pm. Wednesday – 1997, 1998 – boys 9am-12pm, girls 2-5pm. Thursday – 1995, 1996 – boys 9am-12pm, girls 2-5pm. Friday – 1993, 1994 – boys 9am-12pm, girls 2-5pm.
BJTA Publicity Officer David Bonser said these sessions would be advantageous for beginners as well as current representative players.
Places may be limited and will be allocated on a first-in basis, and nominations are to be made via email to David Bonser bonzy@optusnet.com.au
Meanwhile, BJTA representative trials will be held on Sunday, February 20 for boys and girls 12 and under (born 1999 or 2000), 14 and under (born 1998 or 1997) and 16 and under (born 1996 or 1995).
