Bundaberg 2013 plan review being carried out

BUNDABERG Regional Council is undertaking a review of its Bundaberg region 2031 community plan to ensure the project is still on track.

Bundaberg Mayor Mal Forman said public feedback was an essential tool for gauging whether the plan was meeting its intended target.

"Bundaberg Region 2031 is a community plan was developed by Council after extensive community consultation with the public back in 2010. The document defines and strategically plans our region's community vision for the future," Cr Forman said.

"Three years later, we're keen to see if community attitudes have changed given recent events around our region including the floods. If opinions and attitudes have changed, we want to know where and how that will impact on the 2031 plan.

"The review will look at the seven community outcome areas detailed in the 2031 document, by assessing the goals listed in each. We want local residents to tell us whether the goals are still relevant and if they aren't why not and how they can be improved."

Residents can have their say by taking part in the review online or by picking up a hardcopy of the form at any council office across the region.
