Bulldogs won't be overawed in decider, says Swan

AFL: Star onballer Josh Kennedy says Sydney won't be relying on the big occasion getting the better of the Bulldogs in order to win Saturday's premiership decider.

The Swans certainly have the edge in grand final experience - this will be their fifth in 12 years. Matt Suckling is the only player on the Bulldogs list who has taken part in the biggest game of the year when at Hawthorn, but is no guarantee to play due to an achilles injury.

"I think if they were going to (get overawed) it would have already happened,” Kennedy said in reference to the fact the Bulldogs have beaten West Coast (away), Hawthorn and GWS (away) in successive finals.

"They've obviously got a huge amount of belief and trust in one another.

"They're playing a great brand of footy which has stacked up (in finals), so it's going to be a great contest.”

Set to put their hand up for selection, injured Swans Aliir Aliir (knee), co-captain Jarrad McVeigh (calf) and Callum Mills (hamstring) all took part in Wednesday's training at the SCG.

Tough decisions await John Longmire and the coaching staff.

"It's part of the game and part of the industry, and we'll do the best we can with the best 22 we take out there,” Kennedy said.

"We know that 'Horse' (Longmire) and the coaching staff will make the right call.”
