Building towards new HQ

PHOENIX House staff will be out and about today selling bricks to raise funds for a new, much-needed building.

The sexual abuse and family violence counselling and support service is in desperate need of a new home, so the ever-increasing cry for help in fighting sexual abuse may one day cease to exist within the community.

“We are aiming to raise one million dollars to secure our new premises to bring together all the programs we facilitate into one building,” staff member Serena Kemsley said.

Staff will be selling bricks at Hinkler Place, Sugarland, Bundaberg IGA, Bargara Woolworths and the CBD, where two Vietnam Veterans will be volunteering.
