Bucket bong, drugs found in family home

A FATHER and son stood side-by-side as they faced charges of drug possession after a police search uncovered more than 30g of marijuana in their hinterland home.

Noel William Dugdale, 55, and Troy Dugdale, 29, pleaded guilty in Maroochydore Magistrates Court to possessing dangerous drugs.

Noel further pleaded guilty to a charge of possessing drug utensils and Troy to possessing property suspected of being used in the commission of a drug offence.

The court heard that on March 5, police searched the Dugdales' Conondale home where they found a "bucket bong” belonging to Noel as well as 4g of marijuana he claimed ownership of.

A further 30g of the drug and an electric grinder were found belonging to Troy.

Magistrate Matthew McLaughlin fined Noel $200 with no convictions recorded.

Troy, who was fined less than a year ago for drug offences, was again fined $800 with convictions recorded.
