Brothers U-12 teams do double

CRICKET: Brothers claimed the Bundaberg under-12 double on Saturday with their U-12 side continuing on their winning ways with a comfortable 79-run victory over Across The Waves (ATW).

But their young U-11 team, which included a number of U-10 players, recorded their maiden match victory, hanging on to beat Country/Wests by three runs in a tense finish.

Hayden Pfingst, with 35 retired, and Aaron Barlow (2-6) were their U-12 stars, while Declan Buckley, with an unbeaten 24, and Andrew Olley (2-7) stood tall for their U-11s.

The U-14 Brothers side also powered on at the top of the U-14 table with a big win over ATW with Jesse Richardson notching an unbeaten 50 and the in-form Harine Siribaddana and James Fitzpatrick each snaring three wickets.
