Toowoomba woman claims Young Professional of the Year

TOOWOOMBA insurance broker Bronte Neville is climbing fast to the top of the career ladder.

Ms Neville, an employee of Queenscorp Insurance Services, was named 2015 National Insurance Brokers Association of Australia Queensland Young Professional of the Year.

"I'm over the moon, it's a massive achievement to take out the state award," she said.

"You have to have a good work ethic. You've got to conduct yourself professionally and have a strong personal brand as well as being passionate about what you do.

"If you look at any athlete or person in the media, they have their style and a way of conducting themselves.

"That brand is what people see when they look at you."

Ms Neville came to Toowoomba in 2005 and said the city was an ideal destination for young professionals.

"In Toowoomba you can have a great work life balance - you can have a challenging and rewarding corporate position and still have a fantastic lifestyle.

She said she hoped to one day be a director of Queenscorp.

Current director Michael Parker said Ms Neville was well-deserving of the title.

"She has worked hard promoting the education of young people in our industry," he said.

"In 2014 she attained a Student of Excellence Award and this caps off a great 18 months for her.

Ms Neville competed for the national title in Sydney last week.

The Australian Young Professional of the Year is announced in September.
