Break and enter at backpacker hostels

AGNES Water police have charged three men with two counts of enter premises and commit, tampering with a fire device and wilful damage following a break and enter on Saturday morning.

Acting senior constable and Rosedale officer in charge Greg Williams said the men broke into 1770 Backpackers at approximately 4am, stealing a backpack which contained cash, a digital camera and a mobile phone.

"The men also stole two fire extinguishers and released the contents onto the road," he said.

"The men then broke into Cool Bananas hostel and stole a surfboard."

The stolen items have been returned.
