Boy flown from Fraser Island after sand boarding incident
A BOY has been airlifted by RACQ CareFlight Rescue following a sand boarding accident on Fraser Island.
The Emerald local was sand boarding down a sand dune when he fell off and injured his lower leg.
He had a suspected fractured leg.
The Bundaberg RACQ CareFlight Rescue helicopter was called to the Orchid Beach helipad on Fraser Island at 11am.
The boy was flown to Hervey Bay Hospital in a stable condition.
His mother accompanied him on the flight.
