Books from 50c at annual sale

ALL sorts of interesting characters will gather at the Civic Centre from July 17 to 19 for the Bundaberg Regional Libraries book sale.

Sport, Recreation and Venues portfolio spokesperson Cr Lynne Forgan said the book sale, which was a joint initiative between the council and Bundaberg East Rotary, was always a popular event.

"Thousands of books, magazines and DVDs will be up for grabs for as little as 50c," Cr Forgan said.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for residents to get good quality items at bargain prices and all in support of a good cause.

"The funds raised from the sale are split between Rotary's community projects and the libraries' touring author programs."

The book sale kicks off with a Rotary sausage sizzle with the sale open from 4pm to 7pm on Friday, 8am to 3pm Saturday and 8am to 1pm Sunday.
