Blair Felsch running for council in Division 7

COMMUNITY service volunteer and family small business person Blair Felsch has declared his candidacy for Division 7 of Bundaberg Regional Council, promising to put the focus back on delivering to the local community.

Mr Felsch is advocating for ongoing local neighbourhood issues such as traffic congestion, drainage, maintenance of local parks and providing better access to footpaths and bus shelters within the Svensson Heights, Norville and Thabeban areas.

"I am committed to being a genuine representative of the people of division 7 and will work collaboratively with residents, businesses and community groups to identify issues in their neighbourhoods and achieve the best outcomes possible," Mr Felsch said.

As an active committee member of a local Rotary club and experienced local family business person, Mr Felsch has a record of serving the Bundaberg community and an understanding of the needs of local businesses.

"I believe our region has huge potential to prosper and grow and I am excited at the prospect of being part of a team that can lead the Bundaberg region into its bright future," Mr Felsch said.

"With the right team in place, I believe our Council can deliver for the growth of Bundaberg while maintaining its traditions and character."

Mr Felsch also promised residents of Division 7 that he will:

• Maintain honesty and integrity in all dealings,

• Be open, approachable and contactable

• Provide excellent representation to Division 7 while maintaining a focus on the whole region

• Focus on sustainably improving the education, employment and economic standing of our region

• Always work hard to achieve the best outcomes for our region

• Donate a portion of the weekly wage to local charities and community groups

"In the lead up to the election I will be out speaking to residents about the issues that they want investigated and resolved," Mr Felsch said.

"I also encourage anyone who would like to discuss an issue to get in touch with me either by Facebook or email."
