Biker dies on highway

A 46-year-old Bundaberg man was killed on Saturday after crashing his motorbike on the Isis Highway, 10km south of Childers.

A female pillion passenger was hurt in the crash, which happened about 3.15pm on Saturday.

The woman was taken to Childers Hospital, but her injuries were believed to be non-life-threatening.

The man is the fourth person to have died on Bundaberg region roads in the past month.

The Queensland Police Service forensic crash unit is investigating the cause of the accident.
