Biggenden supports bank branch

THE success of Biggenden's new banking facility was confirmed when The Rock Building Society's Mini Branch and ATM at Biggenden Newsagency and Travel was officially opened on Tuesday evening.

Leigh Zimmerlie, The Rock's retail bank executive, said the organisation had 30 mini branches which offered great customer service by people well known in their local communities and were welcomed as an alternative to the big banks.

“We have a proud history of supporting sporting teams, community organisations and charities in local neighbourhoods,” Ms Zimmerlie said.

North Burnett Mayor Joy Jensen officially opened the branch and congratulated owners Ian and Carol Williams for providing such a well needed service, saying Biggenden people had already been taking great advantage of the 24-hour, seven-day-a-week ATM availability.

Mr Williams said he and Carol were proud to be in partnership with the Rock Building Society.
