Biggenden meals in high demand

BIGGENDEN'S Meals on Wheels volunteers have been in hot demand, delivering more than 2300 meals to their clients during the past year.

Committee president Betty Johnson reported the increase of 620 meals during the previous 12 months at the group's annual general meeting this month.

“In addition to this, the Biggenden Health Service supplied 1335 meals, which were delivered to clients serviced by other organisations,” Ms Johnson said.

She said the Biggenden Meals on Wheels had passed a full accreditation during the year.
