Bid to let girls see their dad

A BARGARA woman has begun a Facebook page to help Bundaberg country music singer Justin Standley's daughters fly from Western Australia to see him perform live on The X Factor.

Sheryl Gale, who met Justin at the Bundaberg Country Music Easter Roundup earlier this year, has become a close friend of Justin and wants to help the man she describes as a gentle soul.

"Justin is just such a lovely man with a big heart," she said.

"He's done so much to help others in the past."

Mrs Gale said she suggested the idea of flying Justin's daughters to a live show on Facebook earlier this month and the next thing she knew, people were pledging donations.

"I couldn't believe it, I just had to do something," she said.

"We're looking to raise enough money to cover flights, accommodation and meals for both girls."

Mrs Gale will be collecting funds at this weekend's Beerfestabull at Innes Park, or go online to facebook.com/WeLoveJustinStandley for details on how to make a donation.
