Ben Hunt sends injury scare through Broncos

BRONCOS players have downplayed concerns for hooker Ben Hunt, after he left training on Tuesday morning with an arm injury.

The Brisbane No.9 was seen clutching at his left arm and wrist just moments after he was caught up in an awkward tackle during some wrestling drills.

He was taken into the sheds and did not return to training.

It was a worrying sight ahead of Friday's NRL clash with the Dragons, but Hunt's teammates believe he will be fine to take on the team he will be playing for in 2018.

Prop Korbin Sims said Hunt had just suffered a cork.

"He's fine," Sims said after training.

"He just had a bit of a knock on his arm, a bit of a cork. It's all right for now.

"I didn't really see what happened. I think he just got caught in an awkward position."

Winger Corey Oates also seemed relaxed over Hunt's fitness, calling it a niggle.

"He's a tough little nut," Oates said of Hunt.

"He didn't seem too bad. I think it was just a cork. I'm sure he'll be right.

"It was three-on-one so he could have copped a knock from anyone. He didn't seem too bad."

Outside of Hunt, the only other concern was Tautau Moga, who trained in the rehab group with a quad strain.

Moga is expected to be fine for Friday.
