Be 'True Blue' and help diabetes

“TRUE Blue” Queensland businesses are being invited to show their colours for World Diabetes Day on November 14.

Diabetes Australia Queensland is calling on Queenslanders to join in this year to light up local monuments, landmarks, iconic buildings and local businesses in blue.

Diabetes is a leading cause of blindness, kidney failure, heart attack, stroke and amputation.

Companies and organisations unable to light up in blue are encouraged to hold a “Blue Do” on November 13 to help raise money for diabetes.

This year schools, clubs and health organisations are getting involved by wearing something blue and making a donation.

All participants are asked to register online. To register visit www.diabetesqld.org.au and click on the World Diabetes Day icon.
