Bazaar time for crafty at Childers

GET ready craft lovers for the renowned annual Childers Craft Bazaar at the Isis Cultural Centre on Tuesday from 8.30am to 2pm.

Thirty-five stall holders will be selling a variety of quality hand-crafted goods and craft supplies, including patchwork by the Childers Quilters, pottery by the Childers Firehouse Potters, shell, pearl and glass jewellery, Pataka, porcelain and china painting, crochet, tatting and much more.

Each item that will be on sale at the bazaar has been hand-made by the stall holder.

There will be demonstrations of Brazilian embroidery and by “Pick-It Papers”, a supplier of hand-crafted bonbonniere and boxes.

Event organisers have been busy searching far and wide for the oldest and most unique doll, and are inviting the public to take their favourite or oldest doll along to the bazaar for display only throughout the day.

Admission is just $3 for adults, children are free.

A home-made morning tea and light lunch will be available for purchase.

Much of the funds raised by the Grace Lutheran Church on the day will be donated to missions and chaplaincy.
