Basketball camp on over January holidays
BASKETBALL: Bundaberg's best juniors will have the chance to learn skills from some of the best coaches next month.
The Supercamp is back for its 29th year and will be held again in Toowoomba.
Run by former Queensland Basketball League player Pop Dickerson, juniors will be taught from the very best including former NBL coach Brian Kerle and former NBA player Andrew Moore.
There will also QBL and NBL players helping out during the camp.
Catering for all skills the camp also has the option for players to either live-in or live-out while it is running.
Expected to get juniors from all around the state, including Bundaberg, Dickerson said the camp has continued to grow over the years.
"I have run Supercamp now for 29 years and can confidently say it is the longest running camp in Australia,” he said.
"Over the past 10 to 15 years we've been consistently getting around 200 players to each camp.”
"I believe this is a really good indication that the games is in really good shape.”
Prices for the camp range from $195 for the live-out option to $475 for the live-in with all meals provided.
Places are still available for the camp with juniors and parents urged to book quickly before the new year.
