Bargara Ladies' Classic tees off

GOLF: More than 250 players from across Queensland have nominated to play in the 32nd Bargara Ladies' Classic starting at the Bargara Golf Club today.

The majority of these players are from golfing clubs outside the Bargara area.

With last year's winner Ash McCourt (Nudgee) playing off 2.6 and runner-up Trudi Petrie (Rockhampton) playing off -0.1 both competing, the standard golf will be exquisite.

Other single markers in the field for the Bundaberg Motor Group sponsored-event include Tam Reid (6) Peregian Springs and Kathy Nelson (8) and Joan Milton (9) from Bargara.

The competition will be run in three divisions in both gross and nett events for three days.

The course is in excellent condition for the 54-hole event and the organising committee is hoping for clear skies and a bumper crowd to watch on.

Play will start from 6.30am each day and the course will be closed for social play until after 3pm each day.
