Barbarians defeat depleted Falcons

UNION: The Barbarians remain one of the teams to beat in the Spring Cup this season after maintaining their unbeaten run.

The side defeated The Waves Falcons 33-0 to record its fourth straight win and stay in second on the ladder.

The Barbarians took advantage of a lack of players from The Waves Falcons to run in 26 points in a dominant second half after leading 7-0 at half time.

"We started with 13 but lost two after half time and were forced to play with 11,” The Waves coach Matt Clarkson said.

"We were really happy with our performance to hold them out as long as we did.”

The Waves will now face the Pythons this week with the Turtles to face Isis.

The Barbarians will now have a bye.
