Apple staff steal photos from client phones, judge bodies

STAFF at a Queensland Apple store have been busted taking images from the phones of customers and taking photographs of customers and staff, which are then fed into a "photo-sharing ring".

More than 100 close-up and explicit images were taken of female workers and customers without their knowledge.

Photographers were also lifted from the phones of customers.

The Courier-Mail reports the images were then shared with staff at other Apple stores, where they would rank them out of 10.

It reports four male staff have now been sacked in the aftermath.

Apple has confirmed it is investigating a "violation" of its policy at its store in Carindale, in Brisbane's south-east, "where several employees have already been terminated as a result of our findings".
