Set for days of Thunder

EXCITEMENT is building for Rebecca Nielson and the other entrants in this year's Miss Bundy Thunder quest.

The 17-year-old Kepnock State High student is one of 10 young women vying for the honour of Miss Bundy Thunder during this weekend's Wide Bay Australia Bundy Thunder festival.

"I'm actually looking forward to the excitement of the boats racing and being at Sandy Hook,'' Miss Nielson said.

The Bundy Thunder program starts with a special parade of competitors and their boats in Bourbong Street on Friday night, followed by the Bundy Thunder Ball at the Civic Centre.

Two days of action packed racing will be held at Sandy Hook on Saturday and Sunday.
