Jailed for sex with teen girls
By PATRICIA COATS
THE man who propositioned two teenage girls in the one day while his wife was in the house will serve nine months' jail for sex related offences.
The man, aged 26, whose name must be withheld so the girls are not identified, pleaded guilty yesterday in Bundaberg District Court to one count of carnal knowledge of a child, four counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16 and four counts of sexual assault.
The court heard that the man became involved with the girls because they were all members of the same drama group.
The 15-year-old girl went to the man's home to learn lines for a play when she let him kiss and touch her.
However, when the man suggested they take things further, the teenager said she did not want to have sex with him.
He then sexually assaulted her.
The man also assaulted the girl three days later.
Nine days later he raped her in his house while his wife was asleep in another room.
The court heard he told the teenager he loved her during the incident.
On the same day, the man sexually assaulted the 16-year-old girl on a mattress in his living room.
The two girls were at the man's home together because they were all watching movies.
Judge Brian Hoath sentenced the man to two-and-a-half years for carnal knowledge, 18 months for each count of indecent dealing and two years for each count of indecent assault.
The sentences will be served concurrently and will be suspended after nine months.
