Family sex charges



A FATHER and son have been charged with sexually abusing two 14-year-old girls in their house near Bundaberg.

The men, aged 80 and 39, appeared in Bundaberg Magistrates Court this week charged with indecent treatment of a child under 16, indecent treatment of a child under 16 who is a lineal relation and allowing their home to be used for the abuse of children.

The alleged offences occurred at a party at the men's home, located about 30 minutes from Bundaberg, on January 14 this year, the Magistrates Court was told.

The 39-year-old is charged with an additional indecent dealing offence for an incident on November 12 last year.

In a separate incident, a Bundaberg man also appeared in court this week charged with three counts of rape and indecent dealing with a child under 16.

The alleged victim was the man's stepchild.

The offences are alleged to have occurred between August 31 last year and January 2 this year.

All three men are expected to reappear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court for committal mention on April 26.
