Bendable beauty is back home

CONTORTIONIST Kristy-Lee Crane bent over backwards to be home for Christmas, after spending the past seven years wowing crowds overseas.
Miss Crane is currently living in Los Angeles and her star-studded resume includes dancing with singer Toni Braxton, performing at a party for Britney Spears and doing a show for Eddie Van Halen.
However, the highlight of her career came just two-and-a-half weeks ago, when she danced with Gwen Stefani at the American Music Awards.
"That was just amazing for me, it was a huge opportunity," the 27-year-old said.
"The American Music Awards is the biggest national and international event I have ever done, it was surreal."
After completing a degree in dance at the Queensland University of Technology, Miss Crane performed in the Inneuvre Stage Show at the Gold Coast Casino for two-and-a-half years.
She then moved to Japan to star in a show at Disney Sea in Tokyo.
"I was Ariel from The Little Mermaid and we performed an aerial ballet in harnesses to make it look like we were floating in water," she said.
Miss Crane performed in the Disney Sea show for 10 months before she moved to Los Angeles.
"I have been dancing as well since I was three, and it's probably the reason why I get jobs because I have a combination of skills," she said.
Miss Crane was back in Bundaberg two years ago but is looking forward to having a hot Australian Christmas for the first time in seven years.
"It's really exciting for me to be back here as I am used to being in cold places for Christmas - here we get to go to the beach and go outside," she said.
Miss Crane's mother Lorraine is overjoyed her daughter will be back for Christmas this year.
"It's great, it has been far too long and we have had too many Christmases without her here," Mrs Crane said.
"Kristy-Lee has always been a big kid and she makes Christmas more exciting."
