Animals will make a meal of students’ handy work

NORTH Bundaberg State High School's green team - the Planeteers - have given their first instalment of mealworms to the Queensland Wildlife Carers Association, to assist in feeding the orphaned and dispossessed native animals that they look after.

When asked what could be done to help, association's secretary

Judy Elliott said that the carers needed a supply of mealworms for their birds and insectivores that they were rearing, as they could not get enough of them.

The Planeteers were delighted to give mealworm growing a go, and presented 3000 to the Queensland Wildlife Carers Association.
