Amazing dust storm photographed

YANDARAN man Patrick Read managed to capture these amazing photos of a dust storm while making deliveries near the Booyan Boat Ramp this afternoon.

Mr Read said he was dropping off some fertiliser about 4pm when the dust storm kicked up.

“It just went straight up in the sky and picked up the cane trash and kept going,” he said.

Mr Read said he immediately dropped the bag of fertiliser he was moving and took shelter in his truck while the storm passed.

“I just watched it go towards Moore Park Beach,” he said.

Mr Read said he stayed in his truck for “a little while” as the dust storm passed.

The storm was just a small part of the crazy weather seen in the area this afternoon with hail at Childers, Moore Park Beach and some parts of Bundaberg.
