Alloway qualify for Bundy netball decider

NETBALL: The run has continued for the Alloway Netball Club in division 1 of Bundaberg Netball.

The side is into its fourth straight grand final after beating Brothers Hurricanes last Wednesday in the qualifying final.

Alloway Blue won 48-32 to progress to this Saturday's grand final after finishing the season as minor premiers.

The side is now aiming for its third grand final win in the past four seasons after winning the title in 2014 and 2015.

For Brothers Hurricanes it was their second straight loss after being beaten by The Waves Gold in the final regular round of the season.

Brothers now face them again this Wednesday night for the other spot in the grand final after The Waves Gold defeated its teammates.

The defending premiers defeated The Waves Silver 48 to 28 to eliminate Silver from the finals race.

The Waves Gold will now look to repeat what it did two weeks ago after losing all other matches to Brothers during the season with the two sides facing each other at 6.30pm.

The grand final will then be held three days later on September 2.
