All ages post bests

ALISON Heiner, Brianna Taber and Brooke Teague were the stars at the Bundaberg Little Athletics and Thabeban Athletics Club competition at Thabeban State School on Sunday, each setting two new personal bests (PBs).

Heiner achieved the feat in the veteran women's category, while Taber made her mark in the under-9 age division, and Teague showed her style in the Tiny Tots.

Centre coordinator Sylvia McNamara said another weekend of showers resulted in another modified program but that the “brave” athletes who attended enjoyed the competition.

“While there were no records broken on the heavy track, there were eight PBs recorded, which was great,” McNamara said.

Another veteran women's athlete, Barbara Cox, posted one PB, along with under-6 Logan Taber.

McNamara also said competition would soon wind down, with entries for the Regionals in Gladstone to close on Sunday.
