A BUNDABERG real estate agency has stepped forward and is organising a Barefoot Bowls Challenge for charity.

RealWay Property Consultants is hosting the event to raise funds for pediatric patients at Bundaberg Hospital.

Event co-ordinator Rob Prendergast said the agency wanted to do something specifically to help sick children and their parents.

"Many of us in the office have family and we are all very grateful that Bundaberg Hospital is here offering great care should we ever need it," he said.

"Fortunately we haven't, but we wanted to help support those who have in the past or may in the future,'' he said.

Bundaberg Health Services Foundation manager Maria Burnet said the fundraiser was terrific.

The event will be held at the ATW Bowls Club on Friday, October 9, from 6pm.

Cost is $50 per head with teams of four (includes game fee, vbarbecue dinner and drink tickets).

Teams must register before the night and can do so by phoning 4152 4000.
