Acker aims for four straight
RENEGADE charge Can Acker Run will be chasing his third straight win on Thabeban Park in a Best Eight 460m showdown tomorrow.
Can Acker Run has drawn box four, but with moderate beginners either side of him, he should be able to get off to a good start.
Ranger Thomas is well drawn in box one and there will be plenty of pace coming across from the outside in Back Page and All About Foxy.
Blue Ray will be out to back up a solid performance in its debut last week in The Maiden 460m.
The John Betro-trained hound will strip fitter for the run and has drawn box one.
Providing some competition will be Narelle Mulcahy’s He’s Got Speed. The son of Pure Octane has been knocking on the door and could surprise.
Mulcahy’s kennel has been on fire in past weeks.
Ledaro Cleo will be chasing back-to-back wins in the Novice 460m after posting a solid a 26.97 seconds on a wet track last week. Little Ava and Monsieur Noir may fill the trifecta.
The Fourth Grade 460m will bring together a terrific field of veterans.
Disco Roberta will resume after a month’s layoff and will start favourably from box two.
The field has three Thabeban mainstays Sister Cool, Flying Shack and Lily Savage, who are approaching four years of age, but none can be left out of the equation.
