Ability Ball the best so far

MORE than 360 people enjoyed a night out at the annual Community Lifestyle Support Inc Ability Ball on Saturday.

General client manager and event organiser Trevor Sands said the event at the Bundaberg Civic Centre was the biggest and best yet, with a guest appearance from a Home and Away star and live music.

"It was a fantastic night, I don't know how we are going to top it next year," Mr Sands said.

Lynne McGranger, who plays Irene Roberts on the hit TV show Home and Away, was a special guest and the ABBA Live tribute band kept the crowd entertained.

"I'd say about 80% of our guests were Home and Away fans and they loved talking to Lynne during the night," Mr Sands said.

"The band was also fantastic, they had everyone up and dancing and interacted with the crowd," he said.

Mr Sands thanked the sponsors, including AusWide Bank, for supporting the event.

"All the money raised will go towards making next year's event fantastic and employing people with disability to work the floor," he said.

Community Lifestyle Support Inc is looking forward to the Fraser Coast Ability Ball to be held on December 4.
