Kemps racing his way to next stage

BUNDABERG'S Aaron Kemps sprinted to fourth place in today's stage of Victoria's Jayco Herald Sun Tour.

Kemps, who races with American team Rock Racing, is now in eighth overall after yesterday's fourth stage.

Fellow Australian Chris Sutton won a third successive stage.

Sutton won a bunch sprint to the finish in yesterday's 139km fourth stage to Barwon Heads.

He just pipped Australian Jonathan Cantwell, with the time bonus for the stage win helping him extend his overall race lead over the Fly V rider to five seconds, after starting with a one-second buffer.

The event has a quality field, with Kemps finishing the stage one spot behind double Olympic gold medalist Bradley Wiggins and one in front of multiple Tour De France stage winner Jaan Kirsipuu.

The race ends on tomorrow in Melbourne.
