Personalised rum bottle a big win

BEN Prince’s collection of Bundaberg Rum bottles is about to be enhanced by a special addition.

Mr Prince, from Slacks Creek, took part in an online competition over eight weeks to mark the launch of Bundaberg Rum’s old oak aged rum Reserve.

After he was named the Master Craftsman he was flown to Bundaberg, given a special tour of the distillery and presented with a specially commissioned mini vat and a personalised bottle of Bundaberg Reserve.

Mr Prince, 26, said he had been collecting special bottles of Bundaberg Rum for about two years and now had 40 bottles in his collection.

“The one they gave me has personalised labels,” he said. “That’s definitely going into the collection.”

Bundaberg Reserve is aged for at least five years.
