Turtles team to beat in Spring Cup

BUNDABERG Turtles have emerged as the team to beat in the All-Safe Spring Cup, continuing their unblemished season with a 31-12 defeat of Wests Barbarians.

Assistant coach Luke Cummings said while there were promising signs for the season ahead, there was still some hard work to be done.

“We're happy with how the team is performing and we've had some good results, but it's early days yet,” Cummings said.

Union newcomer Jarrod Tanner played a starring role for the Turtles, slicing up the wing to put the Barbarians on the back foot with two tries in the first 10 minutes of the game.
