Survey reveals just how dirty Aussies really are
OUR dirty habits are coming out in the wash.
A third of us wear undies for a second or third day and go commando or wear swimmers rather than wash them, a nation-wide survey says.
About 53% of us sniff our clothes before re-wearing them and washing is not a man thing, according to the Panasonic study.

Most men leave women to carry the basket when it came to clothes cleaning; 69% of us are cold on ironing; and we're the pits when it comes to rewearing clothes - a quarter of us would rather deodorise our shirts rather than wash them.
Other findings include:
- 24% of us wear wet clothes because we don't have time to dry them;
- One in six uses dishwashing detergent or shower gel or shampoo when out of laundry detergent;
- 36% of families haven't washed their kids' stuffed toys in over a year with a further 15% admitting to having never washed them; and
- One in 10 respondents never wash quilts, pillows, and cushions.
